Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a technique of skin resurfacing which uses
a jet of fine crystals to remove the dead and damaged cells from
the skin surface. The skin immediately appears brighter, and production
of new collagen and elastin is stimulated. Microdermabrasion is
typically performed in a series of 6 to 10 treatments spaced at
2 week intervals, with maintenance peels scheduled every 2 to 3
months. The depth of the peels can be altered to treat various skin
conditions. Apex uses the patented Parisian Peel system, established
as one of the world leaders in dermabrasion. Microdermabrasion has
been shown to remarkably reduce fine lines, acne, small scars, blemishes,
uneven skin tone, and sun damage. Microdermabrasion is typically
painless, and you may return to your daily activities immediately.
Your skin may appear windburned and feel tight,
and you may have some minor skin peeling.
