Growth Hormone
Therapy
Growth Hormone Sterostim has been in popular use in the anti-aging
industry for many years. Patients on medically supervised Growth
Hormone therapy have reported increased stamina and energy, decreased
body fat, increased skin tone and elasticity, and an overall feeling
of well-being. Much controversy and, unfortunately, abuse surrounds
this treatment. It is naturally made by your pituitary gland at
the base of the brain. It is responsible for formation and maintenance
of many tissues, especially connective tissues, muscle, and bone.
It also works in the regulation of other hormone pathways in a
"governing" capacity. Growth Hormone levels are highest in childhood;
as we age, levels of Growth Hormone gradually decrease, and it
has been suggested that replacement of it may lead to increased
longevity through the maintenance of tissues and other hormone
pathways.
Patients on medically supervised Growth Hormone therapy have reported
increased stamina and energy, decreased body fat, increased skin
tone and elasticity, and an overall feeling of well-being. Growth
Hormone is only effectively administered by injection under the
skin, a technique which is easily taught. The Growth Hormone molecule
is small and fragile, and has a limited stability in solution.
Like insulin, another small hormone, Growth Hormone has essentially
no absorption when administered orally or nasally with pills or
sprays. Even with our modern technology, we are as of yet unable
to provide either insulin or Growth Hormone in a form other than
an injectable. There is much research ongoing in this field; there
are hundreds of thousands of diabetics who would love to throw
away their insulin syringes! Please
do not waste your money on oral or nasal Growth Hormone supplements
or Growth Hormone "stimulants". We will be happy to advise you
on the benefits and possible side effects of Growth Hormone therapy.
Growth Hormone
is not administered to advanced diabetics or to persons with active
malignancies (cancers). A comprehensive medical history and physical
examination will be performed prior to initiation of Growth Hormone
therapy. |
